The Wedding's Signature

A monogram is a wedding'ssignature mark.

Before the palette, before the paper — great wedding stationery begins with a monogram. Two initials, composed with florals, peacocks, paisleys or a family motif, become the emblem that signs everything: the invitation, the wax seal, the welcome board, the favour tag. StationeryWalaa designs wedding monograms as miniature works of identity — drawn by hand, refined in consultation, built to appear beautifully at every size.

01 · The Craft

Small mark,
entire identity.

A wedding monogram does for a celebration what a crest does for a house: it makes everything it touches feel like it belongs to one family, one story, one event. Guests see it first on the envelope's wax seal, again on the invitation, again at the venue entrance — and the repetition quietly builds a sense of occasion.

That is why we design the monogram before any other piece of your suite. Once the mark is right, every subsequent design decision — typography, borders, motifs — grows outward from it.

Couples keep using them long after the wedding: on anniversary gifts, home stationery, even embroidered linen. A good monogram outlives the event it was made for.

02 · The Craft

How a monogram
is composed.

We begin with your letters — the initials of two names, sometimes two families — and explore how they interlace: mirrored, stacked, encircled, woven through a lotus or held by peacocks. Indian weddings open a deep well of motifs: paisley, mor pankh, kalash, temple arches, marigold garlands, ambigrams that read both ways.

Each direction is sketched by hand, then refined digitally into a mark that works in one colour, in gold foil, at wax-seal size and across a two-metre welcome sign. That range test is the discipline most 'logo generators' skip — and the reason bespoke monograms endure.

You approve the final mark in every context it will live: printed, foiled, embossed, sealed and enlarged.

A custom emblem composed from a couple's initials — often woven with florals, peacocks, paisleys or heritage motifs — used consistently across the wedding's invitations, wax seals, signage, decor and favours. It functions as the celebration's visual signature.

Yes — respectfully and precisely. Paisley, lotus, mor pankh, kalash, Ganesha, khanda, crescent and temple architecture are frequent requests. We draw each motif by hand and confirm cultural details with your family before finalising.

It isn't mandatory, but it is the single highest-leverage piece of the suite — one mark that ties the invitation, signage, hampers and favours together. Most full-suite commissions begin with the monogram for exactly this reason.

Usually 1–2 weeks: consultation, hand-sketched directions, refinement and final files. Physical wax-seal dies and stamps add a few days for engraving. Commissioned with a suite, the monogram is simply designed first.

Individually, after a free consultation — complexity, the number of composed directions, and physical deliverables like brass dies shape the quote. Monograms commissioned within a full stationery suite are quoted as part of one written proposal.

Yes — final artwork files are yours to keep and reuse: anniversaries, home stationery, gifting. We archive your files as well, so future reprints and new pieces always match.
